International Free Agency: -Teams will have given Tiers of IFA Budget. Review Salary Cap Breakdown (Tiers and Tags) for each budget. -Must be signed in that years IFA Pool (must be signed by start of IFA) -Must be younger than 23 years old -Teams can submit up to 10 bids (PLEASE SUBMIT PRIORITY LISTS - also $$ doesn't always mean priority) -Teams can only sign up to 5 IFAs per season -Players will be posted by position -IFA budget resets every year, there is no carry over
IFA Bid Process
-GMs will offer a signing bonus out of their salary for Year 1 of players control -Contract will revert to original MiLB contract after Year 1 -Teams can offer a minimum of $0.2 -If multiple teams offer same amount of $ to same player, using this - stattrek.com/statistics/random-number-generator.aspx each team that bid will be placed in the the process, with a 1-30 based on Alphabetical order. Whoever finishes as the top number will get the rights to the player. Example -BOS, LAD, DET all bid $5 on X Player. The #4 (which is BOS) finishes highest in order of the 3 in the process. IFA Budget Trading -IFA Budget can be traded. Cannot be traded separately, has to be in addition to a player or pick. -IFA Budget can be traded in following allotments $2/$1.5/$1.0/$0.5 -The max amount a team can acquire of IFA budget per season is $10.
